Archaeology: Excavation to Storage
Ever wonder what an archaeologist does? An archaeologist studies people of the past. Participants will learn the techniques of excavation, how to process items for a museum’s collections, why conservation is important and so much more! Participants see the process through from digging artifacts out of the ground to becoming historians and learning what objects mean and why they are important. This program is perfect for any child who is interested in digging in the dirt and finding out why we know certain things about other cultures and our own!
